About

I was born and raised in Curitiba, south Brazil, in the ’80s. At that time, the Brazilian economy was facing many problems, one of them being superinflation. Growing up in those difficult times and other life circumstances pushed me to follow the safest path, to ensure that I’d have a good job and enough money saved for the rainy days.

So I followed that path, graduated in Economics and Law, and worked hard for 20 years in corporate jobs without having time to think about a hobby or any activity that would bring me joy.

I remember seeing myself as a non-creative person as if creativity were in people’s DNAs, and mine just didn’t have that creative gene.

In 2013 a sequence of events in my life made me realize I needed some changes. So in 2015, I decided to leave all behind and move to Vancouver, Canada.

Settling in Canada was one of the hardest challenges of my life. But I learned so much from this that I’m forever grateful that I decided to move in here. One of the things that this amazing country has taught me is that you can do whatever you want, without worrying about what others will think. You can learn new skills and you can be good at it if you commit to study and practice.

At that time I realized there’s no such thing as a “creative person and a non-creative person”, we can all be creative, but in different ways. Then, my visual creative journey started and opened a whole new world and a whole new chapter in my life that I’ve never imagined it would be written.
